The Sustainable City: Why It Matters
The "Sustainable City" has been carefully selected as a prime location for discussing smart mobility. This initiative has garnered the attention of notable leaders, including His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, as well as celebrities like Leonardo DiCaprio, Akon, and Robert Llewellyn, among others.
For three consecutive years, the "Sustainable City" has been recognized as the happiest community in the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC). It features a serene and green environment, boasting 60% green space and two lakes filled with recycled greywater.
In addition, the "Sustainable City" offers a variety of clean mobility options, including:
- Access to public transportation
- Shared electric vehicles
- Pickup and guidance services
- Charging stations for electric cars
- A forthcoming shared electric vehicle program
Why Smart Mobility in Dubai?
There is a pressing need to reduce carbon emissions, alleviate road congestion, and minimize air pollution. Smart mobility not only mitigates the environmental impact of transporting people and goods but also offers clear social and economic benefits by providing a more inclusive transportation system.
The Smart Mobility World 2020 event will bring together innovators, policymakers, thought leaders, and consumers to explore new forms of mobility and collaboration, addressing key challenges. This event is expected to attract participants and exhibitors from Europe, the Middle East, Africa, and Asia to showcase the latest technologies in mobility.
Who Will Be There?
The Smart Mobility World will feature over 100 experts from around the globe, including Roger Atkins, a prominent advocate for electric vehicles, and inspiring figures like Hein Wagner, who will attempt to set a Guinness World Record for blind driving in an electric vehicle during "EVRT Dubai 2020."
The event is expected to host 500 representatives from governmental and business sectors, along with 1,000 visitors from around the world. The seminar will include workshops and meetings, alongside dedicated spaces for mobility experiences and test drives in the Sustainable City.
