After our experience with the Audi A4 and the Audi A5 Sportback, we finally got our hands on the midsize Audi A6. This experience has further solidified our confidence in the high-quality standards that Audi consistently delivers.

Performance

The distinctive feeling that Audi provides is palpable from the moment you start the car. The sports transmission, unique to Audi vehicles, can change gears in just 0.2 seconds. During our drive, we noticed that this feature works seamlessly, eliminating any disruptions in power delivery, allowing you to make the most of the engine's output at all times.

The cruise control system also played a vital role in making the ride smoother, automatically slowing the car when approaching another vehicle. Driving the Audi A6 is enjoyable not only on highways but also in urban settings. Despite its size (4.92 meters in length and 1.87 meters in width), the car feels light and responsive. While the Audi may not be the best in terms of fuel economy, it compensates with its numerous other features.

Given its size, the relatively low height (1.46 meters) adds to its sleek and sporty appearance.

Interior

The luxury of the car's exterior is nothing compared to its first-class interior. However, there is one drawback worth mentioning: while the car is incredibly comfortable for both the driver and passengers, the trunk space is limited, making it challenging to fit several bags and impossible to accommodate a stroller without folding the rear seats.

Elegance and luxury are two fitting words to describe the interior design of the Audi A6, despite the trunk issue. Every aspect of the car is crafted with high-quality materials, from the leather seats to the wooden trims and the panoramic roof.

The comfort and innovation in this vehicle stem not only from the quality of materials but also from the advanced technology available. The front seats are electronically adjustable (with memory function), and there's a Multimedia Interface (MMI) that ensures no detail has been overlooked to enhance the driver’s comfort and creativity.

This is especially true for driving needs in Middle Eastern countries, with notable improvements including the Arabic language option in the MMI, powerful air conditioning, heat-insulating front glass, and sunshades on the rear and side windows. Audi tested the car over 2.5 million kilometers to ensure it performs well in Middle Eastern environments, and it’s evident that the wait was worth it.

Summary

The Audi A6 is indeed one of the best midsize sedans we've experienced, standing as a strong competitor against the BMW 5 Series and Mercedes E-Class.
