In the electric and hybrid vehicle market dominated by Tesla, the performance division of the Swedish company Volvo has unveiled its first hybrid car, the Polestar 1. Production is set to begin soon, and we hope it makes its way to the UAE. The Polestar 1 will lead the charge in implementing electric battery technology across Volvo's Polestar 2 and Polestar 3 models.

The vehicle is powered by Volvo's 4-cylinder Drive-E engine, and it is anticipated to outperform the new Tesla Model 3 with a combined output from its gasoline engine and electric motor. The company has stated that it will deliver a remarkable 600 horsepower and a colossal torque of 1000 Nm.

Volvo Polestar 1 Structure
The car is built on Volvo's SPA platform and is equipped with a continuously controlled electronic suspension system, along with six brake calipers for a more exhilarating driving experience. It features a pair of electric motors at the rear axles, utilizing a significant amount of carbon fiber to reduce the vehicle's weight by 230 kg.
Ordering and Operation System
According to the company, all Polestar 1 orders will be processed online and will not be sold directly through dealers except on a subscription basis. To enhance the revolutionary nature of the vehicle, Volvo also announced that it will not come with a physical key; instead, it will be equipped with a virtual key that can be shared with family and friends.
