In a move to welcome autonomous vehicles to the streets of the UAE, the Dubai Electronic Security Centre (DESC) is set to launch the first cyber security standard for autonomous vehicles in the region. This standard will provide guidelines for the security of autonomous vehicles and will be utilized by various departments of the Dubai Government.
Future of Autonomous Transport in Dubai
With plans to transform 25% of all transport in Dubai to autonomous modes by 2030, DESC aims to establish policies that safeguard the emirate’s cyberspace, making it the safest city electronically. Known for its world-class skyline, Dubai has positioned itself alongside cities like Singapore as a hub for innovative ideas.
