Most Popular Car Brands

Toyota leads the GCC market clearly. Out of the total 5,219,145 pageviews that the top 10 brands garnered over the last three months, Toyota accounted for a dominating 22.29% with an impressive 1,163,720 pageviews. Following closely in second place is Hyundai with 13.67%, equating to 713,531 pageviews. Nissan holds a close third position with 12.48%, capturing 651,349 pageviews.

Among the top 10 brands in the GCC, two premium manufacturers from Germany, BMW and Mercedes-Benz, are also present. Mercedes-Benz ranks sixth, while BMW falls behind in eighth place, with Mercedes-Benz gathering 138,343 more pageviews than BMW during the same period.

Market Share by Country

In terms of market share among the top 10 brands, Japan, known for its reliability and resale value, dominates with over 2,200,000 pageviews. Korea follows in second place, with 1,000,000 fewer pageviews. The battle between American and German brands is close, with a slight gap in pageviews between them.

Top Models

Focusing on specific models, the Toyota Corolla, the brand's most popular model, received 105,004 pageviews, significantly outpacing the Hyundai Elantra, which garnered 73,225 pageviews, and the Nissan Sunny at 48,059 pageviews. When comparing larger sedans, the Toyota Camry stands at 52,203 pageviews, while the Nissan Altima lags at 20,904, showing a difference of 31,229 pageviews. In the SUV category, the Toyota Land Cruiser leads with 102,284 pageviews, compared to the Nissan Patrol at 81,249 pageviews.

Despite having two Korean brands in the top 10, the question remains: how long will it take for Chinese brands to make a significant impact in the region? Currently, among the 15 Chinese brands operating in the GCC and Egypt, they generated 525,396 pageviews over the last three months. MG seems to lead, but Geely shows promise with steady momentum.
