2017 Land Rover Discovery: Design and Performance

Introduction

Building on the legacy of the renowned Land Rover LR4, the 2017 Land Rover Discovery retains all the successful elements that made its predecessor a familiar sight on our Arab streets. With a shift from boxy dimensions to a more attractive and intelligent design, the Discovery follows the brand's current design language.

Car Reveal

The new car is set to be unveiled on Kite Beach in Dubai next Thursday, with expected prices as follows:

• 237,000 AED as the starting price for the "S" version.
• 324,000 AED for the fully loaded version (First Edition).

In a dramatic change from the current model, the new Discovery comes equipped with 21-inch wheels and replaces the vertical taillights with sleeker horizontal lights.

Technical Specifications

The new Discovery is expected to feature a renowned 3.0-liter supercharged V6 engine that delivers approximately 450 Nm of torque, allowing the vehicle to accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in just 7.1 seconds.
