Abu Dhabi Police Extends Traffic Violation Discounts

Abu Dhabi Police announced yesterday its decision to extend the discount on traffic violations for another three months. This decision comes as the original discount period was scheduled to end on the 22nd of this month. The authorities believe that this step will make it easier for motorists to pay their violations easily and conveniently.

Details of the Discounts

The 50% discount on traffic violations was initially introduced last December. Motorists who received violations before December 22 could benefit from this discount and avoid vehicle impoundment or accumulating black points for three months. The details of the discount structure are as follows:

• 50% off: For violations received before December 22.
• 35% off: For those who pay their fines within 60 days.
• 25% off: For those who delay payment for longer than 60 days.

New Deadline for Discounts

The discount period, which was originally set to end on March 22nd, has now been extended to June 22nd of this year.
