Over two online events celebrating "Evolution Day," the iconic four-ring brand highlighted the all-electric Gran Turismo’s most impressive features—exceptional dynamic performance, sophisticated design, and sustainability.
Visionary Design and Sustainable Production
Markus Duesmann, CEO of Audi AG, commented, “The e-tron GT Gran Turismo is designed for the future. Its exterior embodies the essence of luxury automotive design, delivering unmatched performance and setting the standard for electric mobility with remarkable elegance. The car stands out for its sustainable concept.” He added, “Sustainability is not only reflected in the driving technology but also in production. Digital World Premiere: Evolution Day
Audi set a new benchmark with its online global premiere, "Evolution Day," hosting two digital events for the Audi e-tron GT. During the “Accelerating Evolution” session, Formula E driver and sustainability advocate Lucas di Grassi, alongside Formula 1 World Champion Nico Rosberg, demonstrated the dynamic performance of the Audi RS e-tron GT compared to the Audi e-tron FE07, Audi’s current Formula E race car. The new model’s capabilities were put to the test with a lap at the Audi Driving Experience Center in Neuburg an der Donau.
A Star-Studded Reveal and Expert Insights
The Audi e-tron GT was presented to the public for the first time during the “Celebrating Progress” event. Over the course of a one-hour online launch, Markus Duesmann and Hildegard Wortmann, Board Member for Sales and Marketing, joined other Audi leaders—including Henrik Wenders, Senior Vice President of Audi, and Marc Lichte, Head of Design—to spotlight the new vehicle’s standout features.
Future-Focused Program Featuring Global Influencers
The diverse program underlined Audi’s commitment to future-oriented design, sustainability, and performance. Actor and producer Tom Hardy, designer Stella McCartney, and Nico Rosberg shared their personal perspectives and insights. The unveiling was accompanied by original music from American singer-songwriter Janelle Monáe, while host Steven Gätjen guided viewers through the digital experience.
Green Tech Festival: Recognizing Urban Sustainability Innovators
At the global debut, the Green Tech Festival—a co-founder of the sustainability platform—and Audi presented the inaugural “Green Future Award.” Part of the Green Awards, this prize honors projects and individuals advancing eco-friendly urban development while making valuable contributions to quality of life in cities. The award was claimed by Tel Aviv-based startup Zencity, recognized for its algorithm that collects and analyzes social media posts and local news from urban areas.
