Clean-Up Program in Dubai

Overview of the Clean-Up Program

The Roads and Transport Authority (RTA), in collaboration with Dubai Municipality and other related service entities, announced on Monday its clean-up program in Dubai, starting with Shaikh Zayed Road. This initiative aims to clean up trash, including grass and sand, with the help of manual labor.

Significance of Shaikh Zayed Road

Engineer Maitha Bin Udai, CEO of RTA Traffic and Roads Agency, stated:

“We have opted for Shaikh Zayed Road as a starting point due to its vital importance and strategic location both to the aesthetic and urban aspects. The approved program includes cleaning works and the removal of accumulated dust in the medians.”

Goals of the Campaign

She also added:

“The campaign is launched with the intention of boosting the profile of Dubai among modern cosmopolitan cities; which epitomizes the urbanized and futuristic vision of our prudent leaders aimed at turning the emirate into an attractive hub in keeping with the advancements it made at all fronts.”
