Ford has recently increased the towing capacity of the F-450 pickup to 31,200 pounds. This enhancement positions the 2015 model as the leader in towing within its class, as claimed by Ford. The capacity has been increased by 6,500 pounds to surpass competitors such as the Ram 3500 HD and the Silverado 3500 HD.

Engine and Performance Updates

In addition to the towing capacity improvements, Ford has also updated the power output from the 6.7L V8 engine. These enhancements are not limited to the F-450; both the F-250 and F-350 will also receive similar updates.

Availability

The 2015 Ford F-450 will be available this week, while the F-250 and F-350 models are expected to be available next month in the US.
