Infiniti Vision Qe Concept: Artistry in Motion
Overview of the Infiniti Vision Qe Concept
Infiniti showcased its design language for future electric cars with the Vision Qe concept. The firm describes the sedan as "Artistry In Motion."
Design Inspiration
Every curve and line of the Vision Qe whispers of Japanese artistry and a profound sense of the extraordinary. Inspired by the Japanese philosophies of Kabuku, Sho, and Sui, the design team has crafted a vehicle that not only embraces speed and dynamism but also embodies purity and sophistication.
Gentle creases along the body and sensually sculpted fenders create a subtle muscularity, hinting at the potent electric power that lies beneath.
Wheels and Accents
The Vision Qe's captivating wheels echo the tightly wound coils of an electric motor, their geometric design contrasting beautifully with the rich blue paintwork. Warm gold accents add a touch of elegance, further highlighting the interplay of light and shadow.
Innovative Features
Infiniti's signature double arched grille has evolved for the EV era, now sculpted directly into the front fascia and illuminated with a captivating LED outline. This seamless integration of form and function exemplifies the brand's commitment to progressive design.
Slender headlights stretch from fender to fender, emphasizing the concept's width and showcasing digital artistry in motion. At the rear, digital piano key tail lamps flow across the entire width, seamlessly integrated into the aerodynamic lip. Their gentle curves echo the body side panels with razor-sharp precision.
Unique Welcoming Feature
A very special feature is that the Vision Qe mimics the movement of a key holder, welcoming you back to the car via an animation as you approach it. The bespoke "shadow blue" paint shimmers with lustrous gold highlights, shifting and dancing as light and shadow play across the car's sensual curves.
Design Philosophy
The Vice President for Global Design commented: "As we followed the muse of art in motion, we rediscovered the Japanese expression of Sho, which embodies soaring with grace and power. Our designers sculpted forms that, to me, resemble abstractions of a bird in flight — powerful, almost motionless, yet generating such speed."
