Jaguar's Plans for Affordable Models by 2015

Jaguar's Strategic Move
Jaguar is planning to introduce new "affordable" models starting in 2015, with an official announcement expected at the 2013 Frankfurt Motor Show. This initiative comes in light of the success of its sister brand, Land Rover.
Leveraging Land Rover's Success
Jaguar aims to utilize Land Rover's successful model to offer lower-cost luxury cars. Christoph Stürmer, the IHS Automotive research director, stated, “It's a logical idea to use the momentum from Land Rover and expand the Jaguar range."
Expected New Models
New models anticipated to launch include:
- A compact sedan
- A crossover SUV
These models will position Jaguar within highly competitive market segments, with availability expected in the second half of 2015.
Jaguar's Ownership and Future Plans
Jaguar is currently owned by Tata Motors, an Indian company that recently signed an agreement with the Saudi Arabian Government to establish automotive facilities focused on aluminum production and vehicle assembly.
