About the New Infiniti Q50
The new Infiniti Q50 replaces the G37 and will be available in three options, all equipped with the renowned 328-horsepower 3.7-liter V6, identical to the outgoing G37. The hybrid models utilize a hybrid V6, producing 364-hp with the help of an ‘Electric Super Charger’, enabling the car to accelerate from 0-100 km/h in just 5.1 seconds.
Advanced Features
The Q50 includes the innovative ‘Fly by Wire’ steering system, tested by Sebastian Vettel, Director of Performance at Infiniti. This system provides precise control without road vibrations and is acclaimed as the world’s fastest reacting steering system. All Q50 models come standard with a 7-speed automatic transmission, regardless of engine choice or drivetrain.
Safety and Comfort Innovations
The Q50 boasts a host of new features, including:
- Active Lane Control
- Lane Centering System
- Back-up Collision Prevention System - applies brakes to prevent collisions while reversing
Visual Appeal and Interior Design
Visually, the Q50 presents an aggressive look from both the front and rear. The cabin is designed to be rearward, enhancing its true rear-wheel-drive sports sedan appearance. The interior features Infiniti’s signature double wave theme, with a center console that includes dual touch screens—one for navigation and the other serving as the control center for various options.
Pricing and Expectations
The top model, the Hybrid Q50, will be available for AED 144,000. This competitive pricing for a car that looks good and promises superior performance sets high expectations. We look forward to testing it soon to see if it truly measures up!
