Maserati F Tributo Special Edition: A Tribute to Racing Heritage
Introduction
Celebrating its racing past, unprecedented wins, and motorsport genes, the Italian automaker Maserati has launched two unique models: the F Tributo Special Edition Ghibli and Levante. Exactly 95 years ago (25th April 1926), Maserati entered the world of racing; with a proud Trident on its hood, the Tipo 26 won the 1,500cc class at the Targa Florio with Alfieri Maserati at the wheel.
Maserati's Racing Legacy
28 years later, on 17 January 1954, Maserati made its debut in F1, entering the pinnacle of world motorsports with the 250F driven by Juan Manuel Fangio. This iconic partnership, crowned by numerous victories, is commemorated today in a fitting tribute.
F Tributo Special Edition Overview
The brand’s history in competition and its connection with the racing world inspired the new F Tributo Special Edition, which received its world premiere at the Shanghai Auto Show 2021. The "F" stands for Fangio, the driver who made his mark in an era, while "Tributo" pays homage to the glorious victories of the past.
Exclusive Features
The special series is available on Ghibli and Levante in two exclusive colors:
- Rosso Tributo - A vibrant red, the color of Italian motorsports.
- Azzurro Tributo - A bright blue, representing the City of Modena, Maserati's historic home.
Design and Performance
The reference to the glorious past is evident from the exterior. Historically, Maserati cars raced in red, representing Italy in motor racing during the early years of the last century. The bright blue of Azzurro Tributo also evokes the colors of Modena.
Wheels and Badging
To complete the look:
- The Levante F Tributo is fitted with Anteo 21” wheels in black.
- The Ghibli F Tributo features 21” Titano wheels in glossy black.
Additionally, there is a specific badge in glossy black on the wheel arch and the Trident logo in body color on the C-pillar.
