New Incentives for Electric Vehicle Owners in Dubai from Renault

Introduction
The Dubai Supreme Council of Energy has announced several new incentives for electric vehicle owners in Dubai. Renault, in collaboration with its partners in the alliance, has detailed a six-year plan to introduce 12 new eco-friendly vehicles by 2022. This initiative is part of Dubai's Clean Energy Strategy 2050, further establishing Renault's reputation as a leader in electric vehicles in the region.
New Incentives
The recently announced incentives by the Dubai Supreme Council of Energy include:
- Free charging for electric vehicles at approved Dubai Electricity and Water Authority stations until 2019.
- Free parking for electric vehicles in Dubai.
- Exemption from electric vehicle registration fees and renewal fees.
- Exemption from Salik card fees.
- Exemption from license plate fees for electric vehicles.

As the first automaker to launch a fully electric vehicle in the UAE, the Twizy in 2014, the French company is preparing to launch its long-range electric vehicle "Zoe", and potentially the "Kangoo".
