New Motorcycle Fines for Improper Overtaking in Abu Dhabi

New Details on Traffic Violations
The Abu Dhabi Traffic Directorate announced that motorcycles will face a fine of 200 AED, along with three black points and vehicle impoundment for one week, starting this Sunday, due to improper overtaking.
Officials' Statements
According to Brigadier Hassan Ahmed Al-Harithi, the Director of the Traffic and Patrols Directorate in Abu Dhabi, there have been 32 motorcycle accidents this year, with 936 traffic violations recorded.
Implementation of the New Law
This new law will be enforced throughout the Emirate of Abu Dhabi, with police patrols and cameras monitoring for violators.
Exemptions from the Law
The only exception to this new law applies to motorcycle riders from Saad.
Campaign for a "Summer Without Accidents"
Under the slogan "Summer Without Accidents," the police in the capital urge all motorcycle riders to wear all necessary safety gear to prevent any potential harm. They also noted that motorcycle accidents cause 35 times more damage to individuals compared to any other vehicle-related incidents.
