Porsche Revives Sally Carrera

Now, Porsche has revived one of the movie’s main characters in Sally, McQueen’s friend, as the car was based on a 2002 Porsche 911 Carrera. To bring the character to life, it has produced a one-of-a-kind special edition: the 911 Sally Carrera Edition.

This special edition is based on a Porsche 911 GTS and features:

• Engine: Twin-turbo 3.0-liter flat six
• Power: 473 horsepower
• Torque: 569 Newton-meters
• Transmission: Seven-speed manual gearbox

Design Highlights

One of the main attractions of the Sally Carrera Edition is its turbo wheels, which measure 20 inches in front and 21 inches at the back, echoing the iconic wheels found in 996-gen 911s.

The special 911 also showcases Sally’s unique Sally Blue Metallic. With the spoiler deployed, it reveals Sally's pinstripe tattoo, which many might not have noticed while watching the film.

Interior Details

A lot of attention to detail can be seen in the interior, featuring:

• Cloth trim with a plaid pattern
• Blue highlights on the seats and door panels
• A small drawing of the character on the passenger’s dashboard
• A badge on the B-pillar sporting Sally Carrera's signature
• Special "Kachow! Mode" selectable via the drive mode selector on the steering wheel

This one-of-a-kind 911 will go under the hammer at RM Sotheby’s auction during the Monterey Car Week in California. The auction package will include:
