Special number plate lovers can now purchase these unique plates without needing to participate in public or online auctions. The Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) now offers direct sales of special plates at its customer care centers.

Categories and Pricing

Currently, there are three categories for special number plates, with prices ranging from a minimum of Dh1,600 to Dh1 million.

Available Numbers

According to Mohammad Abdul Karim Nimat, the director of vehicle licensing at RTA’s Licensing Agency:

• “We are offering two, three, and four-digit numbers right now.”
• “Prices vary depending on the series and the number that is chosen.”
• This is the third channel we are opening for distinctive number plates apart from public and online auctions.”

Auction Frequency

Online auctions occur seven times a year, while public auctions are held four times a year.
