Dubai’s Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) has announced a significant reduction in the price of distinctive number plates, lowering the price of three-digit plates to AED 179,999. This initiative aims to enhance customer satisfaction levels and increase the happiness of unique number plate enthusiasts.
Statement from the RTA
Jamal Assada, Director of RTA’s Vehicle Licensing, Licensing Agency, stated: “This initiative, which has been endorsed by the Board of Executive Directors, stems from RTA’s keenness to raise customers’ satisfaction rating. It also echoes one of RTA’s main strategic goals aimed at raising peoples’ happiness.”

- J 945
- P 682
- Several others
Customers are entitled to purchase more than one plate. Those interested in adding a new distinctive plate to their vehicle can view the entire set of numbers on the RTA’s website, at customer happiness centers, or through service provider centers.
