Sebastian Vettel Takes Infiniti FX Customers for Hot Laps in Abu Dhabi

Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates (01 November 2012) – Formula One Double World Champion and current Championship leader, Sebastian Vettel, took to the track early in Abu Dhabi, giving the first customers of the Infiniti FX Sebastian Vettel Edition hot laps around the Al Forsan Motor Sports Centre. After a meet & greet with the first customers of the 300kph limited edition SUV, Vettel showcased the car he inspired, demonstrating its real potential on the track.

Features of the Infiniti FX Vettel Edition

A unique collaboration between Vettel and Infiniti’s Chief Creative Officer, Shiro Nakamura, the Infiniti FX Vettel Edition features:

• 5.0 litre V8 engine with 420PS
• F1-inspired technology including advanced aerodynamic devices
• Carbon fibre components

This exceptional SUV is available from $136,000 (depending on country). Vettel drove the first vehicle to leave the production line at Infiniti’s global manufacturing plant in Tochigi, Japan last month before the Japanese GP.

Vettel's Comments on the Event

Commenting on the event, Sebastian Vettel said: “I got my first true feel for the production version in Japan just before the Grand Prix there and was impressed with it. Today it’s been great to meet the Infiniti customers and to see the smiles on their faces and their excitement at also owning an Infiniti.”
