Ajman Launches 'Slow-Down' Campaign for Senior Citizens' Safety

Introduction

Senior citizens in the emirate of Ajman will soon receive special car stickers to inform other motorists that they should give way or slow down when approaching these vehicles. A month-long awareness program ‘Slow-Down’ has been launched by the Ajman Police in cooperation with the Ministry of Community Development, aiming to improve the quality of life of senior citizens and expats in the emirate.

Purpose of the Stickers

Senior citizens can place these stickers on the back of their cars so that motorists behind them can slow down or give way, as necessary. Motorists are urged to give way to senior citizens to ensure their safety and as a sign of respect.

Support from the Community

Maryam Salem Al Salman, president of the Emirates Association of Senior Citizen Friends at the MoCD, stated that this awareness campaign supports the national strategy to protect and secure seniors' welfare.
