Toyota Prius TRD: Enhance Your Ride with Performance Parts

Overview of the Toyota Prius TRD Kit

Following its appearance at the Los Angeles Auto Show last month, Toyota Racing Development (TRD) has released a host of parts for the facelifted Prius. Currently on sale in Japan, the TRD kit features:

• Aggressive splitter
• Extended side skirts
• Reworked rear bumper with a striking central diffuser
• Aerodynamic mirror caps
• Bold canards
• Dark accents for the front bumper
• Dual exhaust system
• TRD-branded bumper protector
• Aluminum wheels ranging from 15 to 18 inches

Interior and Performance Modifications

Changes to the interior and under the hood are modest in comparison. The interior now includes:

• TRD-branded push-button starter
• Sunshade
• Luggage box costing $81 (AED 300)

On the performance front, while TRD hasn’t tweaked the engine, they have enhanced the handling of the car with minor modifications that include:

• Motion control beams
• Member brace set costing $543 (AED 1995)
