For those of you who don’t know, Middle East has its very own automotive awards known as Middle East Car of the Year and we are proud to be one of the jury members. Well, the MECOTY awards happened recently and we have the full list of winners that can be found here. Also, in parallel to MECOTY, there was a separate event happening in UAE for modified cars called the Custom Show Emirates. You can find the coverage here.

We also got the all-new Nissan Maxima and took it for a spin. The car seems to drive well for a sedan and is aptly powered and priced. But, the whole charisma of a sports-sedan is missing altogether. Finally, there is news for all the Toyota fans. Al-Futtaim motors, the exclusive distributor for Toyota and Lexus, has launched the all-new Toyota Innova in the UAE. The car is based on the new Fortuner platform and is competitively priced. It comes in 7 or 8 seat options and will be fan-favorite for all the local taxis and companies.
