Record-Breaking Feat

Nissan Patrol towed a 170.9 tonne cargo plane to set a new world record, previously held by Volkswagen Touareg for towing a 155 tonne Boeing 747. This remarkable initiative was taken by Nissan Middle East, in collaboration with their partners, Sharjah Aviation Authority and Rus Aviation, who provided the Ilyushin IL-76 cargo plane for this historic event.

The esteemed representatives from Guinness Book of World Records were present to verify the accuracy of the event and officially declared that a new world record has been set. The Patrol successfully towed the plane for 50 meters, which we captured on video here.

The event is the culmination of a project that started last year, where Nissan Middle East invited fans to submit ideas for the "next big challenge" for the Patrol. Following many online votes, discussions, and audience feedback, the idea that received the most positive response was this:
