Introduction
LEGO, the Danish manufacturer of plastic building blocks, has achieved global fame since its humble beginnings in 1949. Replacing Ferrari as the strongest brand in the world, LEGO has produced over 600 billion pieces to date. Their latest release is the 1964 Ford Mustang, constructed to the size of the real car using LEGO bricks.
Car Construction Details
Utilizing thousands of LEGO pieces, the Mustang was crafted with an aluminum chassis, weighing approximately 777 kg, including 436 kg of pure LEGO bricks! Measuring 15 feet in length and 4 feet in height, the vehicle showcases meticulous construction and attention to detail, including:
- Windshield wipers
- Indicators
- Details on the front and rear of the car
Exciting Features
Dubbed #BrickPony, this car features the authentic sound of a Ford Mustang engine and its horn. Following its debut at the Indianapolis drag racing event to celebrate the 40th anniversary of the Mustang Club, #BrickPony will tour the country before heading to LEGOLAND Florida, where it will replace the Ford Explorer.
