Introduction
The 2014 BMW 5-Series has been updated with increased power, a new diesel engine, and various interior enhancements.

The updates apply to all 5-Series models, including the Gran Turismo, ActiveHybrid 5, and high-performance M5 variants. Prices start at $50,425.
Exterior Changes
Some notable changes include:

LED headlights are available for this lineup, and some models feature side indicator lights integrated into the side mirrors.
Interior Changes
In terms of interior design, the dashboard has been updated with a new touch panel for the iDrive control system and additional chrome accents around the display. For the first time, rear-seat entertainment screens have been added.
Transmission Options
Some models offer a cost-free option of a six-speed manual transmission, while all models come equipped with an eight-speed automatic transmission.
