Reports are emerging that four major teams in Formula 1—Marussia, Caterham, Lotus, and Sauber—are experiencing severe financial difficulties. These challenges may force the teams to withdraw from Formula 1 next season.

Potential Changes in Team Structure

According to regulations, if Formula 1 loses three or more teams, the remaining teams will be allowed to run three cars each instead of the usual two. This information was confirmed by F1 head honcho Bernie Ecclestone, who stated that it would be more exciting to see top teams competing with three cars rather than struggling teams on the grid.
