Overview of the Jeep Subcompact Crossover

Jeep’s subcompact crossover has been spotted in its very early stages of development. The pictures are of a test mule for the vehicle, and it is a Jeep because of the familiar multi-slatted grille up the front.

Design and Styling

Not a lot of details are confirmed about the vehicle, but the styling we see is expected to resemble the Jeep Wrangler. In the pictures, it is being tested at a Chrysler proving ground in North America.

Performance and Features

It is expected to be an on-road vehicle; front-wheel drive will be standard but will offer an option for an all-wheel-drive trail-rated system. Regarding power, it will come from a four-cylinder engine.

Release Timeline

The final version is expected to reach showrooms late next year or in early 2015.
