Tags:
Introduction
Ford Raptor has established itself as a leading name in off-road gatherings around the globe. Although the latest Raptor model has not yet been launched at exhibitions, the American automaker garnered significant admiration when it first unveiled details about its parts and components at the Detroit Auto Show about a year ago.
New Updates
The latest update belongs to the 2017 Ford Raptor, featuring Fox shocks. According to the company, the components from Fox are superior to those found in the previous model. The shock absorber system has increased in diameter from 2.5 inches to 3.0 inches, while the larger size, which is 44% greater, enhances heat dissipation and reduces resistance.
Suspension System Enhancement
The longer shock absorbers have improved the suspension system as follows:
- From 11.2 inches to 13.0 inches at the front
- From 12.0 inches to 13.9 inches at the rear
Engine and Performance
The new Raptor is expected to feature a smaller 3.5-liter Twin-turbocharged EcoBoost V6 engine instead of the 6.2-liter V8 engine.
Engine Performance
This engine generates a remarkable 450 horsepower paired with a 10-speed automatic transmission, providing an increase of 39 horsepower over its predecessor. With a terrain management system, it offers enhanced throttle response, control, and all-wheel-drive capabilities.
