The Nissan Patrol, a star of the Middle East, has seen a notable increase in its fan base over the years. At a special event held at the Alila Jabal Akhdar Hotel in Oman, the latest model from the Japanese manufacturer, the Nissan Patrol V6, was unveiled.
About the 2017 Nissan Patrol V6
The Nissan Patrol lineage, which began over 65 years ago in 1956, continues with the 2017 V6 model, marking the latest landmark in the company's history. This vehicle joins the production line alongside the V8, Nismo, and Desert editions. The V6 model is expected to increase its sales volume by 20% over the next two years and represent 60% of total Nissan Patrol sales in the near future.
Vehicle Performance
Overall, the vehicle's weight has been reduced by 89 kg compared to the V8 version, providing a 13% fuel efficiency improvement. Additionally, it boasts a 16% increase in power-to-weight ratio and a 34% increase in torque-to-weight ratio.
Nissan Patrol V6 Engine
The Patrol V6 is equipped with the foundation of the Nissan X-Terra engine, which has been under development for four years, followed by two years of tuning and optimization. With this new V6 model, the Patrol offers luxury, spaciousness, and high performance on rough terrains.
Engine Specifications
The V6 engine generates 275 horsepower and 396 Nm of torque, paired with a 7-speed automatic transmission. This configuration not only accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h 0.8 seconds faster than its primary competitor, the Toyota Land Cruiser, but also offers better fuel efficiency.
Price of the 2017 Nissan Patrol V6
It's worth noting that the 2017 Nissan Patrol V6 will not be available with a manual transmission, with prices ranging from AED 191,000 to AED 261,000. Undoubtedly, the Nissan Patrol is one of the most awarded SUVs in the UAE market.
