The all-new 2018 Jeep Compass is here and gets significant updates over its predecessor. The Compass is one of the most affordable SUVs in Jeep lineup, slotting in just above the Renegade, but below the more expensive Wrangler.

The 2018 Jeep Compass now looks more mature and the front design bears heavy resemblance to its more expensive and larger sibling – the Grand Cherokee. The trademark 7-slatted front grille is now accompanied by slender headlamps with LED DRL elements. The bumper is all-new and is much larger than before, and gets a large air dam at the bottom, and a small slit at the top. The side features squared-off wheel arches, along with a raising shoulder line, and a gently sloping roofline. The rear gets large taillamps with LEDs, new tailgate, and a revamped bumper design with integrated skid plate and dual exhaust tips.
The interior layout of the 2018 Jeep Compass has been reworked as well. The Compass can now be had with dual-contrast interior tones, leather upholstery, UConnect infotainment system with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, panoramic sunroof, automatic air-conditioning among others. The overall fit and finish is better, and so too are the materials. However, it isn’t going to leave you stunned.

The motor at work under the hood is a 2.4-liter 4-cylinder that makes 237 Nm of torque. Channeling the power to the driven wheels is down to an all-new 9-speed automatic transmission. Top speed for the 2018 Jeep Compass is 185 km/h, and the ton mark is reached in a rather lazy 9.1 seconds.
