Abu Dhabi Police warns drivers about the smart radars that will be installed across the emirate by April 15, 2018. These radars will be activated on both internal and external roads in Abu Dhabi, imposing a fine of 500 AED on violators with expired vehicle registrations. Additionally, four black points will be added to the driver's record, and their vehicle will be impounded for seven days.
Objectives of the New System
This initiative aims to reduce the time and manpower required at traffic departments and enhance road safety for drivers across the country. Brigadier Ahmed Al Shaikhi, the Deputy Director of the Traffic Directorate, believes that the new system will yield positive results and urges drivers to adhere to vehicle licensing and renewal regulations.
