Ford Officially Launches the All-New Territory in the Middle East

Ford Middle East has officially unveiled the all-new Ford Territory for the first time in the region, launching from the heart of Saudi Arabia. This compact SUV blends striking modern design with a spacious cabin, confident driving dynamics, smart safety features, and an enhanced driving experience tailored for young drivers and small families.

Ravi Ravichandran, Managing Director of Ford Middle East, stated, “The design of the all-new Ford Territory appeals to young customers and technology enthusiasts. Its modern styling is complemented by advanced technology features, delivering a truly contemporary and distinguished experience.”

He added, “We conducted comprehensive evaluation tests over 18 months before officially launching the all-new Territory in the region. Customers in the Middle East have high expectations regarding product quality and customer service, and we are confident that the all-new Territory will meet and exceed these expectations.”

Design Tailored for the Middle East

Before the all-new Ford Territory arrived in the Middle East, three prototype vehicles underwent 18 months of rigorous testing across various terrains, including two summer cycles (June to August). This ensured that the SUVs were exposed to daily extreme temperatures ranging from 43 to 49°C and tested their durability under intense sunlight.

The main goal of this evaluation was to guarantee that the Ford Territory would not face any issues related to hot-weather conditions during production, and to ensure its performance, comfort, and design were perfectly suited to the region. Enhancements included rapid and efficient cooling of the cabin during summer, improved transmission for maintaining top speed over long distances, and upgraded infotainment systems tailored to local preferences.

Progressive Energy in Power: Ford's New Design Philosophy

The Ford Territory embodies the brand's new design philosophy, “Progressive Energy in Strength,” rooted in Ford’s rich heritage and signature styling. This philosophy emphasizes three core design elements: a strong presence, agility, and responsiveness.

Maurizio Tocco, Chief Designer of the Ford Territory, explained, “We focused on these principles because they matter to our customers: a strong road presence, a spacious interior feel, and smart technology integrated as a key part of the design.”

The external design showcases Ford’s identity, with distinct touches along the front fascia, an integrated front grille, and full LED headlamps that reinforce the vehicle’s boldness and strength. The unique LED daytime running lights create a signature look, while the headlamps can dip to widen the illuminated area for a more powerful appearance. The robust grille bar is constructed from high-quality materials, reflecting Ford's global design language.

The upper side line extending from front to rear enhances the progressive energy of the Territory’s contemporary design. Three-dimensional suspended elements at the rear further express the SUV’s agility and dynamism. Innovative rear lighting technology highlights Ford’s latest advancements in design.

Interior: Craftsmanship Meets Advanced Technology

The all-new cabin delivers impressive spaciousness for a refined and comfortable experience, meeting a wide range of customer needs—whether for work, leisure, or family travel. The horizontal layout extends from end to end, creating a connected, open feel.

The interior features bold, harmonious color schemes, blending blue with dark wood accents. Contrasts between white and other color options add a unique visual appeal. Comfort and functionality are elevated with luxurious leather seats, including a driver’s seat with 10-way adjustability.

In the Titanium edition, dual-zone air conditioning is available. All Middle East Territory models come equipped with a PM2.5 air filtration system as standard to protect passengers from dust and allergens, ensuring high air quality inside the cabin.

The rear seats in the Titanium model are cooled and upholstered in premium leather, designed for optimal comfort while maintaining the sporty and advanced aesthetic of the SUV. The almost completely flat central floor platform offers additional legroom and comfort for both front and rear passengers.

Ford has also maximized cargo capacity, providing over 20 spacious storage compartments and a 448-liter rear trunk, allowing passengers to use storage flexibly throughout the vehicle.

Exceptional Efficiency and Performance

Ian Jones, Director of Product Development at Ford’s Global Markets Group, stated, “The all-new Ford Territory is a global product, developed using our expertise in compact SUVs. It features the latest technologies to deliver maximum comfort and confidence on the road, offering high competitiveness and exceptional value for money.”

Every Ford Territory is powered by a 1.8-liter EcoBoost engine, delivering up to 320 Nm of torque between 1,500 and 3,500 rpm and producing an impressive 190 horsepower. The vehicle also features an advanced dual-clutch unit and a 7-speed automatic gearbox engineered by Magna—Ford’s renowned German partner—ensuring fast, smooth shifting and outstanding fuel efficiency compared to other SUVs in its class. Low rolling-resistance tires further improve fuel economy.

The Territory utilizes ultra-high-strength boron steel, which can be shaped into thinner components for reduced weight while maintaining strength and rigidity to protect occupants and enhance fuel efficiency. The SUV offers a 190mm ground clearance for confident driving in challenging situations.

All Middle East models are equipped with four drive modes: Eco, Normal, Sport, and Mountain, giving drivers the flexibility to adapt their driving experience to various conditions, from busy city streets to long highway journeys.

Advanced Technology Prioritizing Safety and Comfort

The all-new Ford Territory is equipped with a suite of advanced driver-assistance technologies to maximize safety and enrich the driving experience. Customers in the Middle East can easily control these features via an Arabic-language interface. The Ford Co-Pilot system includes several key safety features:

• Blind Spot Information System and Cross-Traffic Alert: This enhanced monitoring system acts as an extra set of eyes when changing lanes or entering highways. If a fast-moving vehicle enters the Territory’s blind spot, the system alerts the driver with a warning light on the side mirror.
• Adaptive Cruise Control with Stop & Go: Available on the Titanium edition, this feature allows drivers to set a cruising speed, maintain a safe distance from the vehicle ahead, and even bring the car to a complete stop when necessary.
• Collision Avoidance and Automatic Emergency Braking: Utilizing wide-angle cameras and radar sensors mounted near the front windshield, this system scans the road for potential hazards—vehicles, pedestrians, or cyclists. If a collision is imminent, the system issues audible and visual warnings. If the driver’s response is insufficient, it activates automatic emergency braking.

Additional safety technologies include Lane Departure Warning, Lane Keeping Assist, Tire Pressure Monitoring System, proactive anti-theft systems, and comprehensive occupant protection to ensure maximum safety.

For added convenience, the new Territory features a minimalist design in the central area, highlighted by a large 12-inch touchscreen, paired with either a 7-inch (Ambient and Trend) or 12-inch (Titanium) digital instrument cluster for easy control and driver focus.

The simplified control layout is highly appreciated for its user-friendly operation. The newly designed rotary electronic gear shifter adds a modern touch, aligning with customer preferences.

The all-new Territory also offers a range of premium features for everyday comfort and entertainment, including wireless charging, USB Type-C and Type-A ports, wireless smartphone connectivity via Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, a high-quality sound system with six speakers (Ambient and Trend) or eight speakers (Titanium), steering wheel audio controls, smart keyless entry with Power Push Start, and a hands-free power liftgate.

Customer Experience and Model Variants

Ford Middle East introduces the new Territory in three trims: Ambient, Trend, and Titanium, each equipped to help customers make the most of every journey.

The all-new Territory is available in seven exterior colors: Black, Metallic Blue, Metallic White, Ruby Red Metallic, Metallic Brown, Metallic Silver, and Crystal Pearl White. Interior color schemes include dark tones for Ambient and Trend, light gray for Trend and Titanium, and exclusive Peacock Blue for Titanium. Ambient and Trend trims feature vinyl fabric seats, while Titanium features leather upholstery.

Ford’s Expanding Model Lineup

The development of the Ford Territory was carried out in collaboration with Jiangling Motors, Ford's project partner. The SUV stands out with its strong presence, superb craftsmanship, spacious and flexible interior, and the latest technologies that customers are seeking.

Designed by the Ford Design Studio in Melbourne, Australia, the all-new Territory has been tested and developed across multiple global markets and is now available at most Ford showrooms across the Middle East.
