Amazon Launches Digital Car Rental Service in the UAE
Announcement of the New Service
Today, Amazon announced the introduction of a new service that allows customers in Dubai, Abu Dhabi, Sharjah, Ajman, and Ras Al Khaimah to rent cars digitally through the Amazon UAE store. Customers will enjoy convenient and streamlined options for booking vehicles from a variety of brands and models, including:
- SUVs
- Hatchbacks
- Sedans
A wide selection of cars will be available from various service providers in the UAE.
Service Details
Rental periods range from one day to a month, and selected rental companies will deliver all cars booked through Amazon's home services to the specified address within a maximum of three hours. To enhance customer experience, Amazon will cover rental costs starting from 44 AED per day, including delivery and collection fees, as well as third-party vehicle insurance.
How to Access the Service
To take advantage of this service, customers can visit the Amazon home services page at (www.amazon.ae/services) and select the Car Services option; or by searching for "Car Rental" on the Amazon UAE store. Compliance with the Roads and Transport Authority regulations and government guidelines in the UAE will be observed, and the chosen service provider will contact the customer directly via Amazon's home services to request copies of:
- Emirates ID
- Driver's License
- Visa page in the passport
- Credit card for securing reservations

Commenting on this initiative, Ameen Mamlouk, an executive at Amazon for the Middle East and North Africa, stated: "The launch of Amazon home services last year aimed to empower our customers to easily book everything they need from carefully selected local service providers, as simply as purchasing products from Amazon UAE. As we continue to innovate to provide the best services for our customers, we have added a digital car rental service to Amazon home services, allowing them to receive their chosen vehicle from home within a short period of no more than three hours, thus providing alternative options to traditional rental methods and eliminating the need to wait in lines or travel to collect the car or pay a large security deposit."
