2016 Toyota Corolla debuts in Europe

The Toyota Corolla is the most popular vehicle in Toyota’s fleet of cars and also in the whole world. The Corolla is distributed in roughly one hundred and fifty countries in the world. This adds up to about one-fifth of the company’s worldwide sales figures. Well there is good news for the fans of this highly demanded automobile. The Toyota Corolla has received a facelift for the 2017 model.

This new model features a brand new front which makes it look like the Yaris and a bit of the new Civic. There are new LED headlamps, new LED light guides. The side has new chrome finish to the door handles. On the rear, there are new LED tail lamps. Moreover, there are new choices in 16” and 17” alloy wheels. Overall, the exterior looks much better than the current one. It has the sporty feel to it with its bold design and that razor edgy look which Toyota is incorporating in both Lexus and Toyota models. Though, I would have liked to see the rear end change as well because the car looks the same as before.

Not much information is given about the interior or the engines but expect the same 1.6 liter and 2.0 liter engines producing the same power as before. Probably they are going to add a new gearbox. Other than that, there is the Toyota Safety Sense system which is basically an array of safety systems that include pre collision warning, lane departure warning, road sign assist and automatic high beam.

The new Corolla right now is going to be available in Europe this summer. We are not sure what the Corolla will look like when it comes to the GCC market or what features will it have. But, if it looks anything like in the pictures, it will sell like hot cakes.
