Overview of the Toyota Corolla
The Toyota Corolla is the most popular vehicle in Toyota’s fleet and the best-selling car globally. The Corolla is distributed in approximately one hundred and fifty countries, accounting for about one-fifth of Toyota's worldwide sales figures.
There is good news for fans of this highly demanded automobile: the Toyota Corolla has received a facelift for the 2017 model year.
Exterior Design Changes
The new model features a completely redesigned front that resembles the Yaris and incorporates elements from the new Civic. Key updates include:
- New LED headlamps and light guides
- Chrome finish on door handles
- New LED tail lamps on the rear
- New options for 16” and 17” alloy wheels
Overall, the exterior looks significantly improved with a sporty feel and bold design. However, some enthusiasts might prefer to see changes to the rear end, which remains similar to the previous model.
Interior and Performance Expectations
While there is limited information about the interior and engine specifications, we can expect the same 1.6 liter and 2.0 liter engines, producing similar power as before. There may be the addition of a new gearbox.
The Toyota Safety Sense system, an array of safety features, will also be included. This system encompasses:
- Pre-collision warning
- Lane departure warning
- Road sign assist
- Automatic high beam
Availability
The new Corolla is expected to be available in Europe this summer. However, details regarding its appearance and features in the GCC market remain uncertain. If the car resembles the images shown, it is likely to be a best-seller.
