2022 Audi e-tron GT ready for February launch

Following its first appearance as a concept at the 2018 Los Angeles Auto Show, the time has come for Audi to unveil the e-tron GT – the German brand’s answer to the likes of the Porsche Taycan and Tesla Model S. With the date set as February 9th, what is known is that the production model will closely echo the concept model – at least from a design perspective.

The e-tron GT, a sleek four-door coupe with a fully enclosed grille features slender headlights, recessed air intakes, ventilated fenders, and a charging port on the driver’s side. The side view is the e-tron GT’s best angle with a deeply raked windscreen flowing into a sloping roof and continuing all the way to the rear where broad haunches give it a menacing appearance.

Although details will be revealed next month, we expect the e-tron GT to have a lot in common with the Porsche Taycan. Multiple variants of the e-tron GT are expected to be made available, including an RS model that will have all-wheel steering, a dual-motor set-up, and all-wheel-drive with torque vectoring.

As per rumors, the e-tron GT will chuck out a combined output of 637 horsepower and hit 100 km/h in under 3.5-seconds, but the range remains a big question mark with a few sources claiming up to 830 km on a single charge. Until more is known, stay tuned.
