Ajman Taxi prevents spread of Coronavirus with masks and daily sterilization

The Ajman Public Transportation Authority (APTA) is preventing the spread of the Coronavirus in the UAE by asking cab drivers to wear sanitary masks and sterilize their vehicles daily. Moreover, drivers are also undergoing weekly check-ups to make sure they are fit, healthy, and safe from the outbreak.

Omar Lootah, Director of Operations at APTA, said “400 taxis were sterilized this week. All vehicles, including limousines, are thoroughly cleaned from the exterior and interior, using solutions proven to kill germs and viruses for the safety of our drivers and passengers.”

In addition to the above steps, Ajman taxi drivers are also attending awareness workshops on health and hygiene. It is these key steps that prevent both drivers and passengers from being exposed to the disease.
