Al Ain introduces 8 new radars

Al Ittihad Ring Road in Al Ain city introduces eight new radars that will go live today.


A traffic safety plan along the internal roads and motorways of Al Ain includes installment of 57 new radars and the ones in Al Ittihad Ring Road are part of it.


Radar detection speed is set at 141kph. Traffic police is hoping that this will control the number of serious accidents and injuries.


Col Khalifa Mohammed Al Khaili, director of the traffic and roads safety section said that the new radars will be installed in the most violent or accidents prone areas.
