Al-Futtaim group made a resounding entry to COP28, emphasizing their dedication to sustainable mobility. The global event, which took place until December 12, 2023, at Expo City Dubai, provided the perfect platform for Al-Futtaim Group to showcase their groundbreaking sustainability initiatives and reinforce their commitment to greener mobility.

Al-Futtaim Automotive stole the show with its impressive fleet of 360 New Energy Vehicles (NEVs), 8 electric buses, and state-of-the-art Charge2Moov EV charging stations. Al-Futtaim Group’s flagship division has a target to deliver 50% of NEVs and 10% of the UAE’s charging stations by 2030. This goal aligns with the UAE’s Net Zero Strategic initiative.

The Al-Futtaim stand at COP28 showcased the group’s diverse portfolio of electric models, ranging from passenger cars to construction equipment to e-scooters. The stand had the Polestar 3, BYD HAN, all-new Volvo ECR25 Electric Compact Excavator, the River Indie electric two-wheeler and Charge2Moov charging stations on show.

Along with all this, Al-Futtaim Group also hosted panel conferences on the Green Zone stage and on the Al-Futtaim Stand where industry leaders, sustainability experts, and partners came together to discuss decarbonization in their respective areas of operations.

During the opening ceremony, Paul Willis, President of Al-Futtaim Automotive, outlined their efforts to build an integrated electric mobility ecosystem, aiming to make electric vehicles more accessible and encourage widespread adoption of sustainable driving.
