Introduction
Al-Futtaim Group made a resounding entry to COP28, emphasizing their dedication to sustainable mobility. The global event, which took place until December 12, 2023, at Expo City Dubai, provided the perfect platform for Al-Futtaim Group to showcase their groundbreaking sustainability initiatives and reinforce their commitment to greener mobility.
Showcasing the Future of Mobility
Al-Futtaim Automotive stole the show with its impressive fleet of:
- 360 New Energy Vehicles (NEVs)
- 8 electric buses
- State-of-the-art Charge2Moov EV charging stations
Al-Futtaim Group’s flagship division has a target to deliver 50% of NEVs and 10% of the UAE’s charging stations by 2030. This goal aligns with the UAE’s Net Zero Strategic initiative.
Diverse Portfolio of Electric Models
The Al-Futtaim stand at COP28 showcased the group’s diverse portfolio of electric models, including:
- Polestar 3
- BYD HAN
- All-new Volvo ECR25 Electric Compact Excavator
- River Indie electric two-wheeler
- Charge2Moov charging stations
Panel Conferences on Sustainability
Along with all this, Al-Futtaim Group also hosted panel conferences on the Green Zone stage and on the Al-Futtaim Stand where industry leaders, sustainability experts, and partners came together to discuss decarbonization in their respective areas of operations.

During the opening ceremony, Paul Willis, President of Al-Futtaim Automotive, outlined their efforts to build an integrated electric mobility ecosystem, aiming to make electric vehicles more accessible and encourage widespread adoption of sustainable driving.
