First Women in Automotive forum set to be held in the region

Posted by Zaran Tarapore on Sep 24, 2018

With the sole objective of empowering women in and around the automotive industry, the first ever Women in Automotive forum will take place at the Ritz Carlton DIFC on December 5, 2018, from 7-10 pm. Bringing together various stakeholders in the automotive industry from across the region, topics of discussion include Increasing Gender Diversity in the Automotive Industry, Highlighting and Enabling Women in Leadership Positions, and Reaching and Serving Female Consumers Today and Tomorrow.

Drawing on market intelligence and insights from the region, a special whitepaper is scheduled to be published, which will contain relevant impressions and suggestions gained at the conference. It will also include proposed actions for the automotive industry to consider in support of gender diversity. By highlighting the roles of women leaders and role models, the conference seeks to provide a platform and inspire women to become a part of the industry.

“Our hope is that by bringing together the movers and shakers of the automotive industry, we will not only cultivate new conversations, but we will take our industry to the forefront of gender diversity and women empowerment. The region's market is changing rapidly, and the automotive industry must adapt to serve new consumers,” said Alan Whaley, Chairman of AMENA.

Automotive professionals and executives are invited to register for the event at https://www.amenaauto.org/women-in-automotive-forum. General admission tickets cost $100 each.
