Ford reveals new Vignale brand

Ford is announcing a new luxury-oriented sub-brand called Vignale (pronounced Vin-ya-lay) aiming to go after the near-premium segment buyers. Vignale will make it official debut at the 2013 Frankfurt Auto Show and will be available by early 2015.

Ford is using its latest version of the mid-size sedan, Mondeo, as the platform to launch Vignale. However, other models will the Vignale touch later on, as the automaker confirmed.

Some of its features will include 20-inch alloy wheels, Chrome door handles and mirror caps, unique badging, mesh grilles, non-standard bumpers and an exclusive color palette. The brown shown in the pictures is called Nocciola.

From the inside, it will feature quilted leather trim, soft touch materials, instrument panel, center console, door top-rolls and center armrest.
