Gaze at the beauty of Jaguar Classic’s new E-Type ZP Collection

Posted by Tejas Kokcha on Jul 29, 2023

The Jaguar E-Type is one of the most beautiful road cars ever made. And so it doesn’t come as a surprise that no matter how many special E-Type restomods are built, petrolheads are left yearning for more. The latest E-Type restomod in question is the E-Type ZP Collection which commemorates the E-Type’s first race wins in 1961. The race-winning E-Types were driven by Graham Hill and Roy Salvadori

The E-Type ZP Collection comes in pairs with both cars honoring the cars driven by the aforementioned racing drivers. The Oulton Blue drophead coupe is inspired by the original ‘ECD 400’ driven by Graham Hill. It has a similar contrasting red leather interior. The Crystal Grey fixed-head coupe is a nod to Roy Salvadori’s ‘BUY 1’ and it also has a contrasting dark blue interior.

A console made of aluminum with engravings by Johnny "King Nerd" Dowell and Bridge of Weir leather upholstery are two additional features that add to the car's exclusivity.

Both cars are powered by a 3.8-litre in-line six-cylinder Jaguar XK engine and is mated to a specially developed close-ratio five-speed manual transmission from Jaguar Classic.

Only 7 pairs, a total of 14, will be produced with every owner receiving a matching Everoak helmet inspired by the original drivers’ helmets handmade by Bill Vero, who has been crafting them since the 1950s. The helmets will be presented in bags specially created by the in-house trimmers at Jaguar Classic. Touch of class.

Jaguar Classic has also announced that a small batch of matching F-Types will be produced later this year as a celebration of Jaguar's past before the company transitions to electric vehicles in 2025. Fourteen of these F-Types will be reserved for E-type ZP Collection customers.
