Honda introduces refreshed 2018 City to the UAE

Winner of the 2016 Middle East Car of The Year (MECOTY) awards, the Honda City has undergone a mid-life refresh three years after the launch of the sixth-generation model. In line with the Japanese brand’s new design direction, the reworked City is available in three grades (DX, LX, EX) and continues to offer the best fuel efficiency in its class.

An aesthetic improvement over its predecessor, the 2018 Honda City boasts an improved fascia that is composed of a new chrome honeycomb grille, new LED Daytime Running Lights (DRLs), and brighter, wider fog lights for improved visibility in bad weather. The restyled rear bumper is complimented by new tail lamps and a more aggressive diffuser.

Following the ‘Man Maximum, Machine Minimum’ principle, the cabin of the 2018 Honda City welcomes the addition of the color Black and offers rear A/C ducts, extensive leg room for all occupants in the cabin, and an ergonomically designed center console. A few additional features include, a touch infotainment screen that mirrors the display of a smartphone when connected through an HDMI cable, Cruise Control, Bluetooth telephony, and push button ignition.

Powered by a 1.5-liter i-VTEC petrol engine, the 2018 City delivers 118 horsepower and 145 Nm of torque through a CVT transmission. With the aid of programmed fuel injection (PGM-FI), the City returns an astounding 20 kilometers per liter of gasoline. Factor in a tank size of 40 liters and the City is both economical and efficient.

Offered in six exterior hues (White Orchid Pearl, Lunar Silver Metallic, Modern Steel Metallic, Crystal Black pearl, Carnelian Red Pearl, Nocturne Night Metallic) and two interior colors (Ivory, Black), the 2018 Honda City is available in showroom across the UAE at a starting price of AED 52,900.
