Increasing number of women traffic violators

Increasingly women drivers are seen violating traffic rules, says a top police official.


Police officials say that an increasing number of women have been violating the traffic rules.


The details of the top 10 women traffic violators for last year have been released by General Mohammed Saif Al Zafeen, Head of Traffic, Dubai Police.


The number one biggest violator is a Bangaldeshi woman with 257 violations and Dh201,140 worth of fines and her car was impounded for 1,837 days. He added that she tops the list for not paying the fines and being wanted by investigating teams for speeding.

A Syrian woman comes in second place, with 288 offence and fines worth Dh186,900 and her car was impounded for 45 days.

An Indian took the 6th place, and the other 7 violators are Emirati women.

The 7 Emirati women, whose names have not been revealed,  committed around 1,137 violations with fines adding up to about Dh701,480.
