Lincoln MKX arrives in UAE

The entirely-new Lincoln MKX has arrived in the UAE showrooms of Al Tayer Motors – the official importer-dealer in Dubai and the Northern Emirates, and at Premier Motors – the official dealer in Abu Dhabi.

The new MKX is the first car in its segment to have a 360 degree camera. Other features include collision detection with pedestrian alert, adaptive steering with EPAS, driving modes, active noise control, adaptive cruise control, lane keeping assist, blind spot detection, cross traffic alert, hands-free power liftgate, full-LED front lamps, push-button gear instead of tradition gear lever, LED DRLs, panoramic sunroof and 13-speaker Revel audio system (optional 19-speaker setup is also available).

A ‘powerdome’ integrated into the rear spoiler houses the radio antenna. The signature full-width tail lamp employs a filter to help the lamp read as one piece, rather than disparate dots of light. Moreover, the ‘patented’ Active Motion function is a slight continuous movement in the seat cushion, which helps reduce potential back pain by provoking a change in the muscular activation of the pelvic area.

Leading the engine choices for the 2016 Lincoln MKX is the available advanced 2.7-litre twin-turbocharged EcoBoost V6, which is GSO*-rated at 346 PS at 5,250 rpm and 542 Nm of torque at 3,000 rpm on premium fuel. The standard 3.7-litre Ti-VCT V6 is GSO-rated at 308 PS at 6,500 rpm and 379 Nm of torque at 4,000 rpm. Both engines are mated to a six-speed SelectShift® automatic transmission with push-button shift. Front-wheel drive is standard, Intelligent All-Wheel Drive optional.

The starting price of the entirely-new 2016 Lincoln MKX in the UAE is AED 175,000/- and includes a three years/60,000 kms complimentary service and maintenance package.
