Rene Koneberg announced as new Audi Middle East Managing Director at GIMS Qatar 2023

The Geneva Motor Show Qatar 2023 has been quite eventful for Audi Middle East. The German brand unveiled its flagship Q8 SUV and gave us a glimpse of its 2026 F1 challenger at the event. Alongside the product related announcements, Audi Middle East East has announced the appointment of Rene Koneberg as its Managing Director.

Rene represented Audi Middle East at GIMS 2023 and engaged with regional business partners at the event to discuss the brand’s future in the region. Rene has been a part of Audi since 2000 and played a crucial role in developing the carmaker’s European Sales and Distribution Strategy in tandem with the legal and economic environment. He later went on to become Head of Corporate & VIP Sales for Audi Middle East in 2007. 

Rene’s key roles outside the Middle East include Director of Brand Operations Audi China, where he established the first digital showroom in Asia - “Audi City”, and managing imports for Audi, Volkswagen, Bentley, and Lamborghini in Korea.
