RTA Rolls Out Paperless Receipts In Dubai

Posted by Zaran Tarapore on May 5, 2021

Dubai’s Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) has rolled out paperless receipts at all customer happiness centers, in keeping in line with the government’s paperless initiative and providing convenient digital transactions to all members of the community. The switch to paperless transactions covers bills, receipts, and tickets issued for various violations.

The RTA has confirmed that it has already begun sending receipts at all customer happiness centers via email and text messages. All details of the transaction, invoices, and receipts are now issued in a digital format as opposed to a printed format and sent electronically to all clients.

RTA urges customers and motorists to update their phone numbers and e-mail addresses in their traffic files by communicating with them through their toll-free number (8009090). The initiative is in line with the precautionary measures taken to curb the outbreak of Covid-19 and also contributes to operational efficiency by bypassing the printing of offense tickets, which also eliminates costs and makes for a greener and cleaner working environment.
