Sneak peak at VW Scirocco’s next generation

Posted by Samar Huneidi on Aug 29, 2013

We got some spy shots of the third generation of Volkswagen’s Scirocco covered in some camouflage and getting tested. It looks like only the front section of the car is receiving the update, although it has not been changed since its launch in 2008.

We’re expecting some sharper lines and a front grille similar to the one in the 2013 CC. Headlights might also get tweaked and might get some new LED elements

Regarding the inside, that’s where the updates are expected. A new touch-screen interface, more connectivity and new safety gear is expected.

As for the engines, VW hasn’t confirmed its plans. We expect the some of the latest ones found in gold might be in the updated Scirocco, which is a 1.4 L TSI with around 138 horsepower and a top engine of 2.0 L turbo producing 296 horsepower.

The update VW Scirocco will debut at the 2014 Geneva Motor Show next March.

Check out the pictures.
